The Monkey House

One of the many abandoned cottages camouflaged in the Irish landscape. Abandoned in the 1960’s after Mr.Lyod passed away, his family shut the door and drew the curtains. His shoes left under the sofa, jacket still hung, table laid and pet monkey left hanging over the fireplace. Mr.Lyods house acts like a time capsule, a forgotten tomb and is a reminder of just how un-discovered the Irish landscape is, even throughout the development boom that brought widespread un-sustainable construction to all corners of the country.
